Wendy is a Counselling Psychologist based in the outer northern suburbs of Melbourne. She is passionate about supporting the mental health and wellbeing of her community by providing affordable and accessible Psychology services.

Wendy offers Psychology sessions for adults of all ages and teens aged 16+ years.

​

She provides a safe and comfortable space for you to share your story.

​

Her manner is welcoming, warm, gentle and caring.

​

She will work with you to create individually tailored therapy designed to help you get your life back from whatever problems you are facing.

​

Wendy's approach is always respectful, non-blaming and non-pathologising.

Services

  • Individual therapy for adults of all ages and adolescents aged 16+
​
  • Face-to-face sessions available in South Morang and Whittlesea
​
  • Telehealth sessions available via video call or telephone​
  • With a Mental Health Care Plan and Referral from your doctor, you will be eligible for up to 10 Medicare subsidised sessions per calendar year
     
  • Registered to provide services for TAC and WorkSafe clients
     
  • Rebates via Private Health Insurance are also available (please check with your insurer to see if psychology is included in your policy)
 
* Standard session fee $200 (Concession $180 if you have a Pension Card or Fulltime Student Card)

N.B. I do not provide one-off assessment sessions, nor court reports.

My Approach

 

I am a humanistic, person-centred Psychologist who works within a strengths-based framework, tailoring my approach to the specific needs of each client.

 

I will take the time to get to know you and listen to your story. I will work with you to find the right approach to restore your mental health and wellbeing, and empower you to take steps in your life that align with who you are, your values and preferred way of living.

In my work, I draw upon several evidence-based approaches according to your needs,including Interpersonal Process Approach, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

  • Bachelor of Behavioural Science, BBSc

  • Honours Degree of Bachelor of Science, BSc(Hons)

  • Master of Counselling Psychology, MPsych(Couns)

Registration and professional membership

  • General Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with area of practice endorsement in Counselling Psychology

  • Member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi) 

Experience and areas of interest

I have worked therapeutically with adults and adolescents from diverse backgrounds in a variety of settings including community health services, private practice, universities and secondary schools. I currently see people aged 16 years and above who are living with the impacts of all sorts of issues affecting their mental health and wellbeing including:

  • anxiety

  • depression

  • stress

  • trauma & PTSD

  • grief and loss

  • emotion dysregulation

  • carers’ issues

  • life transitions & adjustment issues

  • relationship issues

  • work related issues

  • identity issues

  • sleep difficulties
